VA Work-Study Hiring

The VA Work-Study program is a minimum wage (tax exempt) student part-time position. The student must be using VA Educational benefits, must be enrolled at least 3/4-time or full time, must be able to work at least 15 to 25 hours, must be able to work some evenings and/or weekends, and must have a minimum combined overall GPA of 2.75 or higher. 


If you are interested in applying for a VA Work-Study position, please return all required forms to the William E. and Sadako S. Newton Military Family Resource Center located at 426 College Street. Place all forms and any additional documentation in a sealed envelope with your full name, APSU email address, and current phone number. 


**NOTICE** Incomplete packets will be automatically deleted or discarded. All packets will be reviewed after which those selected for the position will be contacted.


What needs to be turned in?

  1. Complete VA Form 22-8691 (the form can be found online or requested via email)
  2. Complete VA Work-Study Questionnaire (can be requested via email)
  3. Current Resume
  4. Class Schedule
  5. Current Unofficial Transcript
  6. Proof of VA Education Benefits [the latest VA Award letter or eBenefits printout for education benefits only (DO NOT include your disability letter)]
